Welcome NEW Current Year Retirees!

Congratulations on your retirement! NEARO Membership is open to all retirees who receive a pension payment from the Employees’ Retirement Plan of the NEA. 

Now’s the time to join NEARO so you can be informed about all issues concerning your pension—a very important source of your income.

You have two choices when applying for NEARO membership:

(1) You can join online here at NEARO.org by completing the information requested on the Add Me To Your Mailing List form. A login and temporary password will be sent to your email address when your eligibility for NEARO membership is verified. Once you receive your login and temporary password, you can then click on the “New Member Signup” button at top right on the NEARO homepage and follow the steps to verification and payment. How To Renew Online

2.        Click on your name (upper right) and select profile.

3.        Your profile will appear. Select your Membership Type:  If you select “Member” you will be renewed for one year and be charged $20.  If you select “2 yr member” you’ll be charged $40, “5 yr. member” $100, etc.  NEARO recommends you renew for five years so that you’ll have continuous membership for five years without having to do an annual signup. Click Next.

4.        You’ll be taken to a page that has your contact information on it, and so please make whatever corrections are necessary. Click Next.

5.        You’ll see additional information about you, which you can correct if necessary. Click Next.

6.        Would like to make a donation to the Joel Packer Defense Fund?  If so please fill in the desired amount.  Click Next.

7.        Click Finish and Proceed to Payment.

8.        Add your credit card information and Submit Payment.
